Our client based in Norway is the industry leader for big data and digital transformation technologies for heavy asset industries. Their state-of-the-art, cloud-based big data platform handles millions of messages per second, stores and processes petabytes of data using state of the art algorithms while providing extremely high availability and scalability.
As part of the expansion of our Colombo based Research and Development centre supporting this client, we are looking for a highly passionate Technical lead to lead a set of engineers who are responsible for the development of complex front ends using React/TypeScript/JavaScript. The team has full autonomy in both design and development of the library.
 
Compulsory requirements

  • Proficient experience in JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Proficient experience in React/Redux
  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
  • Experience in working in green field development projects is essential
  • Proficient experience in using CICD, code reviews, design reviews, code coverage, unit testing and test automation
  • At least 4 years of experience in managing a technical team
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git/Mercurial/SVN
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English

 
Desirable Skills

  • Experience in google cloud platform
  • Experience with Agile Software Development (Scrum/Kanban)
  • Ability to build productive work relationships with colleagues
  • Good knowledge of industrial best practices
  • Ability to adapt to growing client requirements
  • High attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
